Good Morning Students, Parents, and Families,
At approximately 11:00 a.m. today, Trojan building administration was made aware of a new handwritten message referencing a potential weapon on school grounds. We understand that situations like this can cause concern, and we want to share clear and timely information with you.
Administration immediately contacted our School Resource Officer and the Osawatomie Police Department. In coordination with law enforcement, a thorough search of the building was conducted, including lockers and desks. No weapons were found on the premises.
In their search, Law Enforcement were able to identify the issue and it has been resolved.
Law enforcement has determined this was not an active threat, and at no time were students or staff in danger. Throughout the process, students remained supervised, and established safety protocols were followed carefully and consistently.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We will continue to take all reports seriously, respond promptly, and work closely with our law enforcement partners to ensure our schools remain safe learning environments.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students.
Sincerely,
Osawatomie USD #367 Administration
